Our enterprises originated in 1996 within a far-reaching restructuring process of the East German and Thuringian economy by separating and re-founding the special field optical measuring of coordinates from the research centre of Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH. Apart from the excellent technical equipment JENAer Meßtechnik GmbH was able to take the extensive know-how of ZEISS and also the usufructs for several patents in particular.
